SmokeFree Philly is sponsored by the Philadelphia Department of Public Health and the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
The program coordinates tobacco cessation and chronic disease prevention programs, raises community and public awareness through counter-marketing initiatives, and promotes and monitors the restriction of youth access to tobacco products.

TechSense was given the task of creating the site from a large amount of content. The site needed to appeal to a very wide range of users. It needed to be fun yet traditional enough to be understood. It needed to keep the users interest and encourage them to listen to its message.
